Any recommendations for a good, but not too expensive custom stereo installer in San Diego (1st choice) or Southern California?

Thanks!

Val

HEY VALKOLTON!! OLE YLLR I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NORTH COUNTY MOBILE ELECTRONICS IN OCEANSIDE. THEY HAVE WORKED ON SEVERAL H2'S INCLUDING MINE. I RECENTLY HAD TWO ZAPCO AMPS WITH POLK AUDIO MOMO SPEAKERS INSTALLED AND THEY ARE MORE THAN QUALIFIED. THIS LITTLE HOLE IN THE WALL PLACE DOES MOST OF THE WORK FOR HOEHN MOTORS=PORCHES AND MERCEDES AND LEXUS. I KNOW BOTH OF THE OWNERS AND THEY ARE REASONABLE. A LOT CHEAPER THAN TWEETERS!!!!!!

La Jolla Audio on Santa Fe St. is really great. They have not worked on my H2, but they did a lot of work on my Tahoe - always top-notch.

Good luck.

Ole Yellr, how much did it cost you?

Everytime I ask someone for a quote for a pretty basic install - 1 in-dash screen, amp, subwoofer, DVD player, they are telling me about $900 with parts.

I would rather do it myself for that much. I used to install all my stereo equipment, and I have found all the parts I'd need. Any ideas, or anyone got a "hook-up" at these shops or anyone else???

Hey valkolton im interested as well. Am in the Pasadena area and have run into the same thing...very expensive for a basic setup. Any recommendations/referals would be great. Hmmm... group installation discount?

See my other post titled "Plug-n-play adapter...". It will be MUCH cheaper to install this system because you can remove the head unit and retain all functionality with the new adapter coming out in 1-2 weeks. It will be as easy as any other car now. I am going to do it myself and I will let everyone know how it goes.

With the money saved on install, I decided to scrap the Rosen and go with the top-of-the line Clarion head unit.

Cheers to research!!!

THEY ARE NOT DONE WITH IT YET. STILL WAITING FOR ONSTAR ADAPTER AND CB INSTALL. SO FAR HAVE ZAPCO 350X2 RUNNING POLKAUDIO MOMO SERIES ON FRONT AND BACK DOORS WITH TWEETERS REPLACING BOSE , JL AUDIO 10W3 SUB IN BACK DRIVEN BY ZAPCO 350, AND WENT WITH KENWOOD CD WITH SIRIUS TUNER, AND STEERING WHEEL ADAPTER. SO FAR ROUGHLY AROUND $4000
