Anybody have the same problem I am having? The radio buttons on my H2 are "chipping" away or "rubbing" off. Anybody else see this going on?
Thanks,
Coach

Stop pushing them with your fingernails and you won't have this problem. My 1997 truck taught me this, and then I stopped on my last two vehicles and have not had the problem since.

Yes. The main volume knob has some white areas where the black has been scraped off.
Mine aren't my own doing. They cropped up after a visit to the dealer to get some work done on the sound system It hasn't bothered me enough to do anything about though.

My '03 did that, but GM replaced my unit (or maybe just the face plate buttons???) under warranty. Whatever they did, I had new, unchipped buttons afterward!

Pretty common complaint, usually due to hand lotion softening the coating.

Mine also were peeling. They replaced them under warranty. They only have to replace the buttons or knobs, not the whole unit.

They replaced mine under warranty but now it is happening again. Also the whole shift console is flaking. Out of warranty now. Oh well.

My dealer's replacing the whole unit on mine. Service writer said they couldn't just replace the knobs. Is that normal or are they just wasting money and time. BTW, I've got the CD/tape/radio and not the 6-disc changer model.

Most of the guys I know wouldn’t get far with that argument.
Me: “Hey Hun your hand cream made the radio buttons flake and they cost me $20 to replace”. In addition the combination of your smelly hand cream and perfume has my man truck smelling like the perfume section of Nordstroms. This is unacceptable.
Her: “Hey Hun how come you spend a couple grand every time you go to Moab and come back with a list of things to spend a couple more grand on?”
Me: “<STRIKE>shuts up</STRIKE>Dear i dont guess you realize youve spent well over that at the mall in the past couple months. You keep shopping, ill keep wheeling and well live happily ever after...just dont spray smelly stuff in my man truck.” </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
