Holy crap.. I had no idea.
As many of you know, I'm in the process of gathering parts needed to do a duramax conversion. If done right, I can get out for around 20'ish grand and though that's a lot of gas, I'll make a good chunk of it back over the next few years just in gas savings....nevermind I'll have a better vehicle to tow with.
I was driving past a chevy dealership when I spied a beautiful 4dr HD silverado, already lifted with wheels and tires... it was absolutely beautiful.
Now granted, it wasn't a Duramax HD, just a regular gas HD. I asked the salesman how much and he said $58K
Holy crap, I had no idea they were that much. Granted they installed the liftkit and tires (which you know was probably way overcharged) but the damn thing wasn't even a diesel.
I asked him how much extra if it had a duramax and he said an add'l 8500 bucks.
I think I'll just stick to my conversion.

Well, not unless I can work out a deal for one of these two.
I hate to get rid of my H2 but I really want a Duramax and if I can get one without the muss and fuss of dealing with a conversion, (and still cost me roughly the same) I may just buy one and be done with it.

Re: Holy crap.. I had no idea.
I've been pining away for a lifted LMM LTZ for a while now, and at what they go for I'll just keep on pining away for it. **** paying 60K for a pickup.
