I bought one of these and have problems maintaining the sattelite signal. If I get an external antenna I want to know how easy it is to hide wire, etc. So who has one, how did they mount it, etc. Pictures would be great too!
If someone doesnt give me a solution I think Im taking this thing back, so hopefully someone has an answer.

Where did you mount it? Both my Garmin iQue 3600 PDA/GPS works great on the dash, and so does my Magellen Sportrak TOPO.
The sunroof might help; not sure, but due to the straight windshield, versus one that has a decent rack, might be the problem if you have no sunroof.

I have a sunroof and I actually thought about that. I was keeping it open and it didnt really seem to improve reception any. Its mounted via a suction cup to the windshield.

My Garmin Streetpilot sits on the dash with no connectivity issues at all.
Could it be a problem with the unit?

Mine too. The only reception problems I've ever had with my dash mounted Garmin is when I'm inside a parking structure.

So nobody has a Magellan? Ive seen one mentioned on here somewhere once by an owner. Do any of you guys/gals have one mounted via a suction cup system to the windshield? If so how is your reception?

Been using Magellan 700 version 4.32 for almost a year with no issues, it's mounted via air vent.

Wow, thanks for the response. I wonder whats going on with mine. I'll experiment with it some more and take it back if nothing else.

I have a Magellan Roadmate 300 and it works great. The suction cup mount is useless.I purchased a mount from Tiger and it's awesome and the price is great. It absolutely will not move on your dash. http://www.tigergps.com/mapotrdamofo.html

Thanks for all the input so far from the Magellan crowd (and others as well). I know someone has a 760 though! Speak up!
