Escaped The Heat
Since Denver was to be 100 degress or more this weekend, I loaded up the family, camping gear, and the Rhino.
We ended up with a private campsite just down from Webster's pass and the end of RedCone. and had the whole valley to ourselves...well with the exception of a few critters. We had a "cat" close to camp at dusk and than in the middle of the fricken night. The watch Dogs let me know someone was stalking the site though. ...didn;t get too much sleep after that either.
The weather was great with a few sprinkles toawrds dusk. Woke up to 42 degrees today.
Here's some pics....

Re: Escaped The Heat
The Rhino has a few mods. We love taking this out in addition to the H3. It really is fun running new trails or scouting out that perfect camp site.
Bodie likes to drive sometimes too. He can;t always ride in the back.

Water crossing are fun/ wet in the Rhino too.

Standing at the top of Radical hill facing Redcone.
You are looking at a one way trail at that point. I know the camera never does the descents justice, but the hills are so steep and loose washed out trail, it is marked ONE WAY!
Ran this in the H3 last weekend. FUN!!

Re: Escaped The Heat
pic of the H3.
So far I added the grille, brush guard, UC protection, Rock rails, front mud flaps, tinted the front windows to match up with the rears, Rancho 9000XL shocks on the rear, Billstien/Cognits in front with the tbars turned to 23.25". Added the GOBI rack, PIAA 1500XT with extreme white bulbs, Yakima bike racks, cargo buckle system for water cans/ fuel cans. 35" BFG AT's.
I have this truck set up perfect for myself for camping, moderate trail riding, mtn biking, and towing the Rhino.
...now just to get rid of the chrome and a second set of rims/ tires for summer. I added the bfg AT's to get ready for winter. I hate MT tires in the snow/ ice!!!

Webster's pass is just over 12,000ft.
We camped at about 10,900.
Radical Hill was 12,600
Red Cone is at 12,800

Re: Escaped The Heat
looks like a nice place to hide from the heat - a decent elevation. I'm envious, we get 110F almost daily, and that's still not as hot as it can get this time of the year
