Great, another troll, but this one is different, he may not be a jeep troll but a taco troll. What's next, more pictures sharing? Or maybe more trash talking?

Listen kid, read this entire thread before you decide to make a fool of yourself.

Dennis,
Great Video - That was FUNNY! (yes, I'm just getting caught up on current events here). Now that you're a famous producer, you'll need to keep that in mind for your videography on our next trip.

I will say that I'm a bit disgruntled about not getting my handle in the credits since I have two cameo appearances.

Don't listen to all the losers that will threaten you. Those guys are all talk. Like Alec, I too stopped participating on most of the other offroad forums because of the extreme hatred. I had a guy from colorado4x4 threaten me online for parking on what he perceived to be billion year old tundra.

The points made about jealousy are totally lost on these guys. They don't understand the point AT ALL. It's astounding. They respond with "well I just hate them because they are too expensive". What kind of idiotic response is that?

I hate Godiva chocolate because even though it tastes good it's a waste of money when you can buy Hershey. I hate cuban cigars because swisher sweets work just as good. The logic is ridiculous.

Nobody hates hummers because they are too expensive. They hate the people who buy them BECAUSE they are expensive. Some of you guys here seem to be hardcore(I guess) wheelers. Some of you might have bought your hummers because you thought it would make a good wheeling machine....Thats cool.

There is a greater number of people though who buy them soley for the status symbol. To me this is just plain stupid. Its a waste of money to do that.

I hate to tell ya guys but plain and simple...the hatred started from the attitudes of alot of Hummer owners. Not because of the price, capability, looks or anyother part of the Hummer. Its mostly just driver attitude.

I FIXED it for you Doc. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

When I bought my Hummer, I didn't get into the driver's seat and said,"Hey, from this day on, I'm gonna look down on people."

That quality was in me years before. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif J/K

Being a long time Jeep owner, it hurt when I was immediatly shund for driving the H2. It's almost like a defensive personality. Easily mistaken for being snobby.

As I said yesterday, so what if the vehicle cost a lot and many buy them as a status symbol. Those are not the people here so that would be a pointless argument on this forum. I agree, it is stupid to buy a vehicle for a status symbol but if you want to do that, go ahead it is your money. Who the hell are you or I to say what someone can do with their money? If you are going to use the argument that most people buy Hummers and don't go off road so Hummers suck, then you need to use the same argument about Jeeps. Whether you can admit it or not, a larger percentage of Jeep owners will not do any real off roading, if any, than those that will. Also, if the H2 sucks as an off road vehicle because of cost, then I guess the Rubi does too because you could build a custom rig for less. It may not be pretty, but I guess it wouldn't be a steaming pile of crap like the Rubi (if using your argument about price). I personally don't think any Jeeps are piles of crap, but that would be a good comparison to your argument http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

I'll make the argument that I can get a bone stock TJ as far as some could get a BOne Stock H2........does that make the Vehicle or the Driver more capable?????????? And while I've never driven one, I bet I can take a Bone stock H2 and get it as far as a fully set up wrangler also....... It's 40 percent rig, and 60 percent driver IMHO http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Nope...it still stands. I have started to hate them because of what I said in that last post. I thought H2s were kind of cool when they came out. I hauled cars for a living at that time and drove tons of them. I knew it was something I would ever have because I thought the price was just silly for what you are getting. But that price they get has a direct affect on the attitudes of some hummer drivers. The more I saw on the road the more I became aware that a lot of people where buying them for the sole reason of being better then everyone else.

Just as alot of your hatred of the rest of the 4wd comunity came from looking down on you, Mine slowly evolved from the attitudes I have seen from lots of Hummer drivers. Not all of course but alot.

The thing is...the price has a direct effect in this. If you could buy an H2 for 30K(about what they should be) then you wouldn't have so many *******s driving them.

S

Good question. I believe that 95% of the people who buy Rubicons are going to use it off-road. Why else would you drop another 7-10k for what is to the average driver a sticker on the hood, nicer wheels and a toggle swith on your dash??

The fact that they CAN come out with this type of package says alot for the engineers. I'm also pretty sure they woud have done more like 33' tires, lift, etc. but then you have the 5% of idiots that think it's a sports car and kill themselves and sue and sue and sue. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

I bought Jeep cause I can take the top off, has 4WD, and they finally made it in a color I was looking for. I bought a Rubicon because of all the stuff the average driver don't see.

If you bought an H2 for it's off-road capability, then IMO you are a fool. If you bought an H2 because of it's styling, road manners, luxury items, in conjuction with it's off road capibilty then kudos. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

Just my opinion here, but I don't think anyone is buying the H2 strictly for its off road capabilities. It is, as you mentioned, all the extras such as styling and luxury along with the great off road capabilities that brings them to it. Now those that just buy it for the status are idiots.

I took a poll on a rubicon website, 187 responses, 150+ had owned Jeeps or currently own them. But I guess none were "hardcore" they dropped some extra coin for image instead of buying the stickers on e-bay.

I hope you people can put the same amount of passion into keeping trails open as you put into defending your rides.

this is what the TK WILL HAVE>>>>>>TAKE IT FROM THE MOON!!!!!! http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

The new TK and TKL designs will be 2007 model year but will be introduced between January and August 2006, “when” depending entirely upon the construction progress of the new Toledo Jeep assembly plant (presently in the structural steel stage). The 4-door TKL version will be introduced first and 2007 model year production at the new facility will overlap the production of 2006 model year 2-door TJ and Unlimited TJ models at the current Toledo facility. The shorter 2-door TK’s will follow the TKL within 5 weeks. The original Jeep Toledo facility will eventually be demolished.

2) The 2-door TK will be approximately 6” wider than the TJ, and the wheelbase will be around 101”, similar to the Unlimited TJ. The 4-door TKL will share the general dimensions of the Gladiator concept, meaning about 6” wider than the TJ and with a wheelbase of 138”. (Don’t bemoan the larger dimensions, this will allow the factory to safely fit optional 33” diameter tires.) Two different packaged TKL versions will be initially available, these will be called Laredo and Rubicon. Three initial TK versions are planned, to be called SE/Sport/Rubicon.

3) Both TK and TKL will come in a single body version with full height doors and roll-up windows, integral roll cages, rear liftgate, and removable roof panels. The top options will represent solid or tinted transparent plastic – solid panels will be body paint color. Front fenders and rear fender flaress will be body-contrasting bolt-on plastic. Protective plastic body cladding will be used above the sills, save for Rubicon models which substitute diamond plate steel cladding. There is provision for storing the roof panels behind the rear seat.

4) Both TK and TKL will incorporate side impact and head restraint safety systems as well as standard airbags, soft interior surfaces, and anti-dive dashes. Unlike the full-length vehicle frames used in prior Jeep Universals, the TK and TKL will incorporate “shorty” frames with impact-absorbing structures and conventional styled bumpers at both ends. Again, don’t be displeased, an optional winch bumper will be available on front and a tow-rated receiver bumper on the rear. Tow capacity will be greater than TJ but nobody’s speculating by how much.

5) Standard engine for the TK SE will be the 2.4L 4-cylinder gas engine. Available TK optional powerplants will be limited to the 3.7L V-6. The standard TKL engine will be the 3.7L, the available option will be the 5.7-liter Hemi with MDS (multi displacement system, for 4-or-8-cylinder operating modes). Diesel engines will be available for Export vehicles only, not for US models. Available transmissions will initially include the 6-speed manual and a new (for Wrangler) 5-speed automatic. The 5-speed will include the ERS (Electronic Range Select) feature of the current WK, and should satisfy those who cannot decide between manual and automatic.

6) The remaining powertrain pieces include both part time and fulltime 4WD transfer cases derived from Mercedes SUV products, with available options that include the center ELSD (Electronic Limited Slip Differential). The same basic transfer case will be available with two different low range gears, the lower gearing being available only for the Rubicon models. AAM axles will be used on both vehicles with downsized versions standard and an available heavy duty axle for the 3.7L TK, also standard on TKL and Rubicon TK. The standard differentials will be open, with optional helical-gear LSDs “soon”. Rubicon models will have standard electric locking differentials made by AAM. Full-on electronic traction control will be available on “some” models. 4-wheel power disk brakes and power steering are standard in all TK and TKL models.

Most of the hardcore Jeep guys think about as highly of the Rubi as they do the H2 and see them as having been marketed to the same group of people. You can get a base TJ and mod it to the point it will kick the crap out of a Rubi and an H2 and still have money left over. The Rubi is great and I actually do like them, but they are about as practical a purchase as an H2 and the majority of them sold will never even be put into 4wd.

Have you heard me say that much bad about the video? The first thing I said about it was that it had false info...You guys made it clear that was its intention...OK. I actually said the video was funny comming from a Hummer owners perspective.

The biggest problem I have with the video, some of you here and the rest of the Hummer owners with the bad attitudes is simply the fact that...well...everything I have felt about Hummers and there drivers has just been strengthend by what I have read here.

Even though I figured it was a waste of time I thought maybe I could come here and see that maybe the "me and my hummer are better then you" attitude wouldn't be as strong as I see in the real world.

I've gone "head to head" as you would say, with a couple Rubicon owners myself. I got much farther, with less damage, and made it look much easier then any of them did. (Eagle Rock) I would guarantee that a Rubicon (other than the height) is much more capable of a vehicle then my TJ. So, again, IMHO......Driver 60%.....RIG 40%...... I'll keep throwing that out there cause this "anyone wanna challenge a rubicon" crap is kinda funny to me..........I'm open front and rear, and run a Dana 35c, anyone want some.????? http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I think this would depend on where you live. Around here most of the ones I see have been either built up more to wheel or wheeled hard stock.

Same thing with hummers. Im sure you guys who wheel your H2s hard are cool people. Most likely you aren't the pretentous type of ******* that gives the H2 its bad name in the wheeling world.

Same thing with hummers. Im sure you guys who wheel your H2s hard are cool people. Most likely you aren't the pretentous type of ******* that gives the H2 its bad name in the wheeling world.

But without knowing true numbers I would be willing to bet that you unpretentous non-*******s that wheel your hummers make up about 5-10% of all the H2s sold.

So basicly you guys here are really getting the short end of the shaft...

Not only do you have to defend the fact that you wheel your rigs but you also have to defend the fact that you aren't a pretentous ******* with a big wallet and a small peter.
Thats gotta be rough... http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

You are spot on about those here that wheel their H2s are cool. You are also correct that it is probably close to 10% of H2 owners that will take them off road, at least around here. In the overall Jeep market, I would guess that the figure isn't much higher. That is too bad for both brands. As far as your mentioning in the previous post that the Hummer owners are say that "Me and My Hummer are better than you are" (or something to that effect) really isn't true. Not from the people here that is. If you read through the thread, you don't really find comments like that IMHO. For the most part, the members of this forum and the first to say to those that drive other vehicles, just come on out with us to wheel, we will show you what it can do and you decide and we will all have a good time. If we all just stop this pissing match, there could probably be some great friendships built here.

I would venture to say it's pretty much the same everywhere regardless of what kind of vehicle you drive.

A good percentage of people buy "capable" off road vehicles because they think they look cool or because they buy into the outdoorsy vehicle marketing.

A smaller percentage of those same people then take thos vehicles and bolt all kinds of aftermarket parts onto them so they look (maybe are) even more capable off road.

A still smaller percentage of those same people will actually take those vehicles off road and demonstrate that they (the individual, not the vehicle) have very little capability offroad.

This last group makes up the bulk of the web wheelers on most Internet forums, IMO. They talk about modifications. They talk about how to wheel. They talk a lot but if/when you meet them in person you find out the truth.

Finally, there is a very small percentage of people who buy off road-capable vehicles to use them off road. Some of them modify the vehicles. Some of them build them from the ground up. Some of them buy them and wheel them stock right off the dealer's lot.

Internet forums have given us the good, the bad and the ugly. Good: those who want to wheel and modify their vehicles have a better means of communication than ever before. Bad: hordes of Web Wheelers are out there bragging about stuff they've never done and giving advice they're not qualified to give. The Ugly: Once in a while the Internet enables a "War of the Roses" and neither side is big enough to step back and let it end. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

I don't like Rubicon's because my airhead sister in law bought one. It's called cognitive dissonance...displaced anger. If I think through it I realize it's not the ride I dislike. DrMoab, et al, have suggested similar by sighting perceived attitudes of the drivers and insisting he hates the ride. I detect similar on the Hummer side towards Jeeps.

Me, I've been a gearhead all my life and because I do have some disposable income I like different rides and owned and own a lot of them. So I guess I'm one of those so-called pinhead Hummer owners who bought the H2 simply because it's well, the H2 and I can afford it and I didn't want a more...established...Suburban and the Jeep was too small.

I remember when I bouught a 94 Viper roadster and started autocrossing with the SCCA in Oklahoma where I used to live. I was a rookie driver and of course when everyone beat me it was "Hey! I beat the Viper!"

They didn't beat the Viper, they beat the driver...but I didnt' have any moral high ground to try and explain or argue the point at the time.

Exactly. Great post. Sure, they're not jealous of people with the means to buy one (either and H2 OR Rubi). They're just SO TIRED of the endelss attitude they get from H2 owners. What? I guess I'm guilty as charged. Every time I'm at a gas station filling up I, like 95% of all H2 owners, go running around shouting "I can afford and H2 and you can't, so nah, nah, nah, nah-hah". What a load of crap. He's suggesting that the 95% that don't take their rigs offroad are, by definition, a-holes with attitudes? Give me a break. At least the 95% of H2 owners that don't wheel have the sense to buy a car that has a luxury interior and ride. The 95% of Rubi owners who don't wheel just have a poser vehicle with zero non-wheeling benefits. So who is the bigger idiot?

Alec, You will never get a real answer to that question (which I'm sure you know). There is no possible explanation other than one which points to ENVY. Not envy of the actual vehicle of course, but the means to buy one (or "throw away" money on).

I would but I don't drive a CJ. And I do understand the meaning of the video. It was funny from the perspective of a hummer owner. I wonder how you would take a video that put hummers in the same light...especialy if whoever made the video stated that it was only trying to get back at all the mis-information the hummer world puts out against jeeps. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

Hmm, an atv is 3'~ 4' wide and a cj is 5'~ 6' wide, you would drive a cj thru two trees that are say 4.5' apart? http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

And if you actually spend a few mins and read this entire thread, you wouldn't be bringing up these same old arguments. Yes the vid was funny and not only to hummer owners. There have been jeep owners coming over to this board and think it was funny as well. And yes hummers have been and still are under the same light as many owners on this board will agree. Which is the point of this vid.

So you think the maker of this vid should've put a disclaimer/explanation at the end of this vid? I surely don't recall any disclaimer/explanation when I see all the crap ppl put out on the net. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

Here is the bottom line. If I meet you out on the trail. I am not automaticly thinking you are an ass. I will treat you with the same respect I treat anyone outdoors in whatever ride they may be in.

</div></BLOCKQUOTE>

One of my biggest pet peeves is when someone parks in a handicap spot, when they are not, just because they are too lazy to walk from a normal space. You see this kind of attitude more so from people in more expensive cars but the *******s exist in every crowd. I disagree Alec,

Gas is better than charcoal because of design and size configuration.

My gas BBQ can go through NARROW areas. My charcoal BBQ is just too big to fit through my pathway because of the chimney stack near the end.

Face it, Charcoal BBQs share basically the same frame as lawnchairs. They don't belong on the patio. They should stay in the garage.

We'll be cooking Ribeye's over the FIRE next month at Paragon. To do it properly, the fire must be hot enough to make the fire ring glow red/orange. The flame must also be atleast 4' tall. Make sure the grate is in the middle of the fire.

Chargrilled baby!

You guys come here with your pre conceptions of the charcoal grill's performance and dynamics but have no proof or experiance to backup your claims. I bet you don't even own a charcoal grill!!

While Charcoal grills do share some components from the basic lawnchair frame you are forgetting that they also use parts developed for the space program.

I was scaring people for weeks with my permanent surprised look - they often would spin around thinking there was some kind of monster behind them!!

i havent read all the responses so perhaps some of these issues have already been addressed.

i have to make several comments on the anti-jeep video. it begins with the scene of the woman jeeper rolling down hells gate. one thing i never saw in your video however, has an h2 even attempting hells gate. i have to wonder why that is?

the next scene shows a "heavily modified jeep" on potato salad. the video quality is poor, but that looks like a pick up truck to me. its possible that its a jeep truck but just because it may be a jeep truck does not make it a jeep.

the runaway down the lions back is a chevy blazer....you know, the h2 cousin (since the h2 is a tahoe with big tires).

the next scene shows a jeep liberty as trail rated for the mall. no respectable jeeper will argue this. the liberty is made by jeep, but it is not a jeep, nor is it accepted as one.

the next scene shows a couple h2's climbing hills that i could ride in my 4 year old daughters barbie jeep. big deal. if you want to show me an h2 action video, show me a video like this: http://7SlotGrille.com/multimedia/rubiford.html

climbing lions back is respectable, but lets face it theres no real challenge there. a subaru outback would handle lions den.

the next scene says "yj, tj, liberty... same frame same parts same result". at best this is bad information, at worst its simply a lie. a liberty doesnt even have a frame, its unibody. the liberty has a short arm IFS system (you know, just like the h2). the liberty uses a high revving v6 engine. the yj and tj are rigid frame builds with _real_ front axles and an inline 6 with a very flat torque curve.

the crack segment was impressive. im amazed to see such a large battleship make it through. good job there.

the jeep stuck in the mud with the h2 recovery sign was stupid. it would have been fine if the video showed an h2 attempting the same hole afterwards. since it didnt its a very hollow victory.

the hitler segment was disgusting.

there were many pictures of stuck jeeps but none of them were followed by an h2 trying the same spots. try watching this video, and learn a little about credibility: http://7slotgrille.com/multimedia/hummers/hummervsxj.html

http://7slotgrille.com/multimedia/hummers/deadh2.html

http://7slotgrille.com/multimedia/hummers/h2tr.wmv

and no trip down reality lane would be complete without the final authority on jeep vs. hummer as: http://7SlotGrille.com/hummer

this is just a small taste. i have video of stock jeep rubicons riding upper trail #2 at tellico. funny thing, ive _never_ seen an h2 at tellico. i wonder why that is?

certainly my response is intended as humorous. afterall, nobody could seriously believe that an h2 is anywhere near as capable as a short wheel base live axle jeep. :-)

No one in australia buys them to wheel.. Hmmm... Maybe, just maybe, because they are not widely available over there? Are HUMMERS brought in officially or do you have to go thru the gray market? I didn't see any hummers when i was there.

Everyone owns patrols & troopies? Are you sure? I do recall seeing many pajeros & defenders on & off roads... http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

7,

The video links that you just posted IS the reason I made this H2 Tribute Video.

By your reaction and negativity, I have achieved the result I was hoping.

Listen buddy,

The stuff I put in that video about the jeeps were in whole NOT TRUE. I'm sure you already know that. I just wanted you guys to feel the torment we've been going through this past 3 years.

The BS that's being flung around about us, it's only inevitable we would reach a breaking point.

Put yourself in our shoes and see the message.
On the internet we'll battle. Out on the trails, we should stick together. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Anyways, this thread has changed. Unless you have any sick BBQ pics, these guys won't be interested anymore. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

It is amazing how the threat of the Hummer to their wheeling kingdom will cause a Jeep site to dedicate all that space to bashing Hummers. Get a clue you idiot. You don't see that sh*t here. The only time the Jeep is bashed here is in response to trolls coming in and bashing Hummers. I feel so sorry for you that you feel so threatened by Hummers that you have to dedicate so much of your time bashing them. Maybe you should get a life and just go out and wheel with some. Maybe then you could let your narrow little scared mind wrap around the fact that the Hummer is an EXTREMELY capable vehicle and you can put you petty jealousy behind you http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

I am so tired of every critic of the H2 jumping on the tie rods being weak. Yes they suck, but you know what you can do... Replace them with better ones!!! I am a huge jeep fan and have owned several through the years. Having done this I know that the jeep is awesome off road, with serious modifications. They come from the factory with tires to small need replaced. (Usually first thing any jeeper does) This leads to a lift kit. Big tires usually overwhelm weak axles as I bent my Dana 35 first time off road(Replaced with Dana 44, always worried about Dana 30 in front) It will now need more power so switch those gears out next. Jeeps are great, they are like Harley Davidsons, no one wants to ride around on a stock one. Jeep created the Rubicon for the same reasons that I bought my H2. It comes to the buyer ready to go (Although tires are still too small and Dana 44s are far from being considered strong for anything larger then a 35 inch tire. Yes I love my H2 as it is a great package, combining capability and luxury. I also love jeeps for there capability and ease of modification. I was glad to see the people that actually read through this thread come to an understanding. Not better vehicles, just different.

Here's a marinade that's used by a local rest.:
Sugar
Sherry
Pineapple juice
Teriyaki
It's good if you like it sweet.

Myself, I just toss whatever I feel like into a ziplock and let it sit for a while.

GRILLS.
Thanks for the suggestion, Seth. Maybe a smoker in the future, too.

I'm not a fan of BLING and I wheel when I can. I'm not afraid to take risks and I'll push my limits without worrying too much about carnage let alone scratches. I'm just like you, I work hard, play hard, and joke alot.

I've found a handful of H2 wheelers who feel the same way. We're all spread apart by hundreds/thousands of miles but we try and get together in MOAB about twice a year with other Jeeps/Discos/Yotas.

For almost 3 years now, my H2 has been spat on, kicked, keyed, heckled, egged.

When I drive it I get yelled at, fingered at, laughed at, cut off, threatened. Even with my wife and two boys 2 and 5 now.

On the trails, same thing.

I use to belong to Jeep Forum because of my past. The hate and misinformation about the H2 has been flung around that site uncontrollably for years now. Just these few months it started spreading into our Forum and the war began.

There wasn't much fight in us because most of the H2ers were ex and present Jeep owners also and we staill had a certain loyalty to the brand. The mocking and misinformation continued until there was a breaking point. Jerry Bransford.

BTW. Jerry Bransford has some pretty ****ty comments about Rubi's also just in case somebody here vouches for him.

ALL THE THINGS STATED AGAINST THE JEEP IN THAT VIDEO ARE FALSE.

The video was just an excercise in "how does it feel" when the tables are turned. What we've gone through over the years. If I spread lies about their rigs the way they spread lies about ours? The Saddam and Hitler was distasteful but purely for shock effect.

Sure watching idiots bling their rides and some who'll never(About 95%)see a gravel road, doesn't help our reputation. But you can't do that kind **** to a fellow wheeler and judge him by what he drives whithout knowing the driver.

Everyone now says H2ers are *******s and snobs...

Over the years of fist fights, arguments, middle fingers, and heckles, H2 owners including myself, have developed "Tunnel Vision" which can be mistaken as snooty. I'm just weary to look at the driver next to me or passing a fellow wheeler and run the risk of getting "The response". Even the majority of H1 owners shun us. Mabye 70% of wheelers I've approached to say hi and talk shop have been bad experiences so I just stopped doing that unless they approached me.

Jeepers and Rubicons that have wheeled with us, know we are an EXTREMELY friendly bunch. We will run to aid anyone who asks and will buy a fellow wheeler a beer or ten.

We already have enviromentalists issues to deal with but to have the wheelin community come down on you on top of that, can you blame us?

Some here will say that rivalries have happened for years, but have you heard of a FUjeep, FUrubicon,FUyota.com before? FUH2 is a thorn.

If you visit our Forum, come as a fellow wheeler ,be friends and possible cross paths for fun and booze. Come in to insult us, like any Forum, you guys know what the response will be. We're not bad people. We're just like you. But fed up. 3 years of BS vs 1 week of Video, call it even.

We DEFINITELY DON'T have a beef with Rubicon Owners Forum and do not wish to have one....Please.

Thanks for your time. Again, I am truly sorry this has reached your Forum and disrupted Rubicon Members. It was never intended.[/QUOTE]

This was intended for the fued between JF and us. NEVER expected it would get out of hand and disrupt other forums.

The folks at Rubicon Owners Forum are a genuinely great bunch of people and I felt they deserved an explanation.

Nothing I've said above is new. This is the message most H2 owners have been trying to relay for years now. It's unfortunate it took a video for it to be heard.

To Dennis.. while I still wish you hadn't put the Hitler/Hussien shots in there (video would have been just as effective without them IMHO) I think you've accomplished what you wanted and after all the tempers flair down I think the H2 community just might be a bit better off. The stuff I put in that video about the jeeps were in whole NOT TRUE. I'm sure you already know that. .....i sorta figured. :-)

I just wanted you guys to feel the torment we've been going through this past 3 years. now that i dont understand at all. if you dont like my apples, dont shake my tree. if you dont like my jeep you can poke all the fun you want, i dont care! i didnt buy my jeep to make anyone else happy or to seek the approval of others. i bought it to take me where i want to go. it may not work for you and thats fine. by the same token, many jeepers laugh at h2s not because of the h2, but because of the attitude of many h2 owners. dont sweat it, it means nothing. personally i find the rivalry humorous and i enjoy a good h2 joke as much as many of you enjoy a good jeep joke. in the end it means nothing. load up your kids and take them camping and wheeling for the weekend.

The BS that's being flung around about us, it's only inevitable we would reach a breaking point. you say that with such conviction (er, as much as i can tell from printed text anyway) that it sounds almost like you cant vote. you arent being forced to sit in the back of the bus or drink from another fountain.....you just have one segment of offroad motorsports poking fun at your segment. really, it means nothing.

On the internet we'll battle. Out on the trails, we should stick together. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif exactly!. when i see your busted up h2 on the side of the trail ill be the first to offer you a strap and i wont even take pictures of the recovery. ;-)

.....all in good fun.

Get a clue you idiot. ouch...didnt take you long to take the low road. im sorry to see it. it isnt my intention to get you upset.

I feel so sorry for you that you feel so threatened by Hummers that you have to dedicate so much of your time bashing them. dont feel sorry for me, im having fun and a few laughs along the way.

Maybe you should get a life and just go out and wheel with some. find one capable of tellico trail #2 and that just might happen one day. i recently traded my '05 rubicon (http://7slotgrille.com/jeepers/tj/nathan/index.html) (owned it 2 whole months!) but i do have a cj8 scrambler project in the works.

the Hummer is an EXTREMELY capable vehicle im sure it is, ive never questioned its capabilities. its foolish to bleieve however, that its off road prowess equals that of a SWB jeep, particularly where big rocks live.

you can put you petty jealousy behind you "jealousy"? i keep seeing this as if anyone not worshipping the hummer cant afford one. heh....do you really know enough about me to make that judgement?

7, you straight out said it's not even a Jeep.. it's a Jeep.. and it's a Jeep that's had to recover a couple TJs and a Rubi before.. after I'd passed right through the very same obstacle. Is a stock Rubi more capable than a stock KJ.. yes.. is a stock TJ more capable? Good question.. In my current form I can outwheel a stock Rubi though. Of course the Rubi (or a TJ for that matter) can be modded to a much higher level.. for now at least.

It's not a brand thing. The best vehicle for wheeling is a TJ. Maybe a zuk could top it, but that's about it. Liberties and other Jeeps may be OK vehicles, but they are not wheelers.

I have "Wheeled" in Landrovers, Toyotas, Jeeps, Halflingers, Argos, Mitsibushis, H2's, H1's, Fords, thrown together pieces of junk - hell I even drove through a desert once in an old SCUD launcher (long story) and you know what I enjoyed every one of them - it is not the vehicle that matters, it is the fun that you have overcoming the challenges and obstacles thrown in your path that does.

Anyone - be they H2 or Jeep owners - that claims that you are not "Wheeling" unless you are driving a particular brand or model of vehicle needs to reevaluate their reasons for being there in the first place.

it's a Jeep its built by jeep, but its not a jeep. its an SUV with reasonable off road capabilities, much like the h2 (although id put my money on the h2).

it's a Jeep that's had to recover a couple TJs and a Rubi before.. after I'd passed right through the very same obstacle. im sure its the most awesome web-wheeler online.

is a stock TJ more capable? Good question that statement is simply ridiculous and shows either your blinding brand loyalty or your ignorance to the physics of off roading. the kj is not designed, built, or capable of moderate off roading. the kj is a soft-roader, a step above a mini-van. ive wheeled them, ive wheeled with them. yes, with proper modification they can be moderately capable but no matter how you cut it, until you swap in a live axle you still have a short arm IFS system and the limits associated with it. perhaps your off roading standards are lower than mine, i dunno.

In my current form I can outwheel a stock Rubi though. and your current form is?
