fuel tank removal question
can someone tell me how to disconnect the electrical connection on top of the fuel sensors( i think...its the big connection on the top of the tank)?
it looks to be the biggest plug. |
Re: fuel tank removal question
From the Magnacharger installation manual:
Disconnect the large electrical connector on the top of the tank by pulling back on the gray lock tab and squeezing the end of the connector. Disconnect the tank pressure sensor connector by lifting up on it?s lock clip and pulling back on the connector. 12/05 Hope this helps |
Re: fuel tank removal question
It's a single black plug, with a red connector on top. I'm still not seeing how to remove it.
I took some pics but they are too big to attach...I have no idea how to resize them. Jesus, I go from one problem to another. |

Grady,
I bet if you look at page 6,7, etc. of this manual you can figure it out. http://magnusonproducts.com/pdf/manual-HummerH2.pdf Hope that will help. Tim |

Thanks for the help Tim. The good news is I finally got the tank out. The bad news is I think I need a new tank.
I don't know of a cheap fix and these tanks look to be close to $1000. I've attached some pics of what I found. I don't see where the elbow was rubbing on the body-no idea how it got so chewed up. |
