IMO, mistakes happen. They own up and fix it, then they get more chances, and you stand a good chance of having success in future visits.
But if they hem and haw and avoid owning up to them, it doesn't matter if they eventually do correct the issue. It's going to happen again and again. The culture of the place is simply one that has no "self-esteem."
You're either going to get continued crappy service from them, or worse, poorer service in retailiation for ruining their cushy little scam world where they get away with doing shoddy work.
I want neither more crappy service nor retaliation. It's a no win situation.
Too bad I'll soon be moving back to the town where there's only crappy HUMMER dealer within 250 miles.

Get in their face about it with the manager. Things don't change unless you call people out on it. If they own up, give them another chance. If they don't, you've got nothing to lose by dragging HUMMER corporate into it. Perhaps that might help the dealership make an attitude adjustment.
