Don't listen to all the blackers. Truthfully, the black trims are MUCH MORE maintenance than the chrome ones. Especially if you off-road, since mud tends to permanently etch itself into the black trim. So after washing you gotta scrub, then put the right trim dressing since Armorall actually makes it WORSE in the long run! Speaking of long-run, don't forget the terribly bleaching effect from the sun -- especially Texas sun!
With chrome, you just need to wipe dry with micro fiber cloth after a car wash, and 5 minutes later, good as new! Even my gauged-up (way beyond scratches) chrome rims look great when clean and shiny. Lastly, the glare off your chrome trims gives you all the excuse you need to buy an additional pair (or 10) Chanel sunglasses!
