Hey do you remember the dimension of the hole. Looks like 1/2 or 9/16 from the front?

fourfourto is an unknown quantity at this point
Default Re: light switches again

I think it was 1/2 inch.
For my button I removed the plug.
Someone else used a smaller one and drilled a hole in the plug than snaped it in(that way you can snap the plug out for dash removal)
I put a RC car conector in the line for easy removal.(at radio shack also)

I dont think they have ones that light up,I seen some at auto zone that light up and will fit.or go OEM

H3 Hummer 64 is off the scale
Default Re: light switches again

OK I got my factory switch and harness in the mail today. However the three wires coming out the back of the harness are not labeled as to what they are. Does anyone know which wire is the +, -, and 12 volt source? All three wires are gray. I'm trying to splice this in to replace the PIAA switch.

My best bet is to test or try them both, I think that's what I did. Make sure to do it before you put back the dash cover.
