Default header that you use?

so i am looking at the possibilty of replacing my headers, which i will also replace my exhaust throughout as well.

so what i am asking is, what headers do you guys use?

if you want to post about shorty headers, thats fine, but i am more interested in long tube headers.

i see a bunch of listings for OBX, Gibson on ebay ( these are the only long tubes i see on there)

anyone have any experience with these?

I havnt had experiance with headers but i know Borla and Dynatech have long tube headers aswell.
I was really looking into longtube headers aswell but i read these 2 posts, where it burns some wires or fries a cable or something. Ill try and pull it up later if noone has hurd about it.

im not worried about burning wires or anything.
that just tells me people did not properly plan things out or use common sense.

if you want to post the link, ill give it a read. thanks

also thanks for mentioning Borla and Dynatech. i know of them, but didnt think of looking them up for headers

I have gone through 2 sets of Edelbrock shorties and 2 sets of Borla shorties. Edelbrock does not stand behind them if they are defective, Borla replaced the drivers side once and then told me to pound sand.
I now have the Dynatech long tubes and the performance is sooo much better (along with their cats) that I can't believe the difference.
Will keep you posted to see how they last.

thanks for the thread post.

hard to say if it is actually a header design problem, or if parts were missing, or not installed correctly.

/shrug well hopefully more will chime in.
