Do you guys have any trouble parking your h2 in your garage. I have an old house which has a 3 car garage that has 3 seperate doors but they are all open on the inside and a 2 car garage with 1 door. The 2 car is plenty wide but too short for the car. The stalls were designed for carraiges so were not talking huge space. Are there serious problems with parking outside? I can fit it in the 3 car but it takes about 10 minutes and we had to install a mirror so that I could see the right side of the car to fit in. And the first time i hit the crossbars on the ceiling, after some adjustments it works. I need to convince my dad its ok for me to park it outdoors,(my parents are trying to find a way to take my baby away) do you know of any serious problems or is it ok?

Orange H2, Lux package, back-up camera, xm. Not bad for first ride, eh?

No one is calling you a bad person (or persons) Is this you or the 14 year old son? you guys should REALLY get different screen names to avoid confusion.

My original problem with all of this was the fact that you plan to buy a 14 year old an H1, which in my opinion would be irresponsible parenting. Is this true, or was this the 14 year old putting words in your mouth? You never did address this issue except say that we were all jealous. Not a good way for you to get people to go easy on you...

I could care less how you spell - I can usually figure it out. However, it shows a little more respect for everyone else if you can at least take the time to put a comma and period in every so often. Damn.

Clear this up a little bit, and I for one will have more respect for you and get off your back....

To tell you the truth im not sure of the name of mine. I bought it from an electronic store named abt for about 900 and they installed it, so that the picture appears in the rearview mirror. The fact that the screen is normaly on the reflective surface of the mirror makes it so the two images can become confused and it is very difficult to use. I think it was a waste of money and would not suggest it. From what ive seen the screens mounted seperatly or in the dash are far superior and I will most likely change mine to one of those if the need arises. I am taking the car in for the xm to be fixed this thursday and I will ask for what brand the camera is.

My point exactaly... Also, Daddys Boy may end up safe in a wreck, but what about the buick he runs over. That will be great press for the Hummer.

I will wish better for my kids than I had it, as my father did, but even if I could give my kid a $100,000 vehicle, it dosen't mean I should. You have to use your brain at some point when dealing with kids, although many rearing children these days refuse to do so.

Maybe Huffington can write an article about Idiot Parents - I am sure they do much more damage than all the SUV's in the world...

Maybe instead of all these parents trying to be activists they should try raising their kids and teaching them how to be responsible adults when they grow up!

Which I had this for my first ride. Better than a 71 Nova.

I have an old house, and the garage was also built for a carriage. I had to take the roof cross bars off, and I get about two inch clearance on both sides pulling in (with mirros folded in). The neighbors love to watch me pull it in. It doesn't look like it will fit, but does.

After pulling it in a few times with help and going very slow, it is now much faster. I don't have to lean out the window to make sure I am lined up ok any more when I pull it in.
Partice make perfect.

Greetings Y'All,

Ive been reading, learning, drooling, and now dreaming about the H2 for the past few weeks thanks to all the wonderful posts on this forum. Tons more information than any dealer catalog or sales person could ever provide!

Gotta admit though, this has been one of the more entertaining threads thus far. Got my popcorn now.... so let the good times roll!

H2-soon to be!

Clay, air-suspension shouldn't make a noticable difference on height for garage clearance.

BTW, I guess you guys successfully ran of Fistville. He will probably re-register with a new name and never mention daddy again.

As soon as I actually get my H2 I don't think I'll have too much trouble getting in the garage. Its a two door, two deep model I think used to house milk trucks, but its currently harboring two Marine M998's of my cousin's. I'll have to try to get a pic up tomorrow.

Best,
Josh

Its OK to park outside and besides an H2 parked outside will improve the looks of anybodys house.

PhilD, I'm getting the distinct feeling he's pulling your leg a little. Hope that's the case anyway.

I'm kind of surprised that there isn't any more outrage at kids getting handed things in life! Whatever happened to working for anything?? No wonder most of the kids that I see coming into the workplace now are worthless, daddy has been buying their way through life so the kids are in total shock when the silver platter isn't extended!
As for getting your kid an SUV for his first vehichle? Gauranteed to end up in a wreck inside of a year!

I do appreciate and understand the above comments. I had no intention of bragging in any way whatsoever, nor flaunting. I simply stated a questions because I am not one with infinite years of experiance, and I have been in fued with my family about whether or not it is alright to leave a car outside and I decided to ask my question to a group of people who I believed knowledgeable for evidence to present an argument. Comment understood and not taken as agressive in anyway Phil, and I truely appreciate the way you presented it in a logical and truthful way.

The best way to get rich is to have a rich father.

I started my businesses with $800 26 years ago, everything I got I made, and I used to look down on rich kids in fancy cars. A friend of mine gave his son a new BMW on his 16th birthday, the kid was angry and did not talk to his dad for months, because he wanted a Porsche. The father relented 6 months later and bought the son a new Porsche 928S4. I was so angry about that, even though it wasn't my business.

I came from an average family with old fashion parents who did not give me allowance, as a teenager I had to count my dollars and cents on a date, hoping she does not order anything slightly expensive on the menu or 2 sodas. Now I worked my way up, I do not want to do the same. You are only young once, there is no reason why my sons should go through the same; my parents were good intentioned, but it was humiliating and painful to be a poor teenager with no money for a humberger or movie. I vowed not to do that to my own children. There are rules, right and wrong, black and white, strict manner and education, but they do not have to wait or work for the new X-Box, PS2, new games, PCs, skateboards, BB/airsoft guns, Japan or Europe. 2 years later if now-14-yrs-old boy wants my H2, that is not out of the question, if we think he can overall handle it.

Phild have you ever heard "If you have nothing nice to say, shut your trap."

There should be a spam feature in forum's so you can just turn off people that are rude.
