I know if I had a vette I would run the great stuff in it, so not a big deal, just a bigger gas bill...[/quote]

The Escalade runs just fine on 87. The Vette requires 93 becasue its not stock. I'll tell you about it real quick.
89 Vette 6 Speed Coupe
396 CID small block stroker forged crank, rods and pistons 11:1 compression.
AFR 195 CNC Competition ported heads.
Lingenfelter Super Ram intake heavily modified by me.
Custom enginered hydraulic roller cam.
1 3/4" long tube headers.
Custom Hi flow cats
Corsa Cat back.

I run a speed density ECM for engine management and do all my own chip burning. The car is an absolute screamer that has about 450HP and 530ft lbs of torque. It idles smooth, doesn't overheat and drives like a stocker at normal speeds, gets 25 mpg on the hiway but jump on it and hold on. It should run mid 11's but I never make it to the track yet. So she must run 93. But I'm not wanting to buy $2.00 per gallon gas for the sake of a litte extra power in the H2.
