Ok.. after doing some google searching about GMID .. I see that it is for GM Employees and there Families.. Not the average Joe.

Also according to one site.. it expires 12/31/2005. Since my friend is not related to me then it sounds like .."NO GMID FOR YOU..!!!..

So it looks like It's Haggel time with the blood suckers... </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

Google found you incorrect information. HummerNewbie is correct. In fact, GMID cannot be used by a GM employee or any of their relatives that are eligible for the GMS (actual GM discount).
If your friend is a salaried position, they probably know how to access the GM website to obtain the certificate. If they are union, and do not access the GM internal website that often, all they have to do is go to "My Socrates," sign in, then go to Services, then to GM Family First, then click on GMID, enter their password for GMID. Once in to the GMID site, they enter your date of birth and last four of your ssn. The system issues a GMD number, which you take to the dealer.
The dealer compares this number with information they can obtain via their GM connection. You then get a price of approx. 2% above invoice.
Believe me, I know the process, and would offer you one myself; however, I have already given out my two authorization numbers for this month, and promised out for next month. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

Heh F5Fstop.. Glad you put me straight here.. Thankyou Very much. Ok I think I got it.. So I contact my friend who is a salaried with GM. I give them he info you stated above and they get the GMID Ticky...Now is there a time linit on when it has to be used? As posted before I'm waiting for the 2007 to see what the diff is.

Thanks again ..I'll wait for your reply..
