I'm ordering on Monday with the HD stabilzer bracket.
it might be wise to get a second HD stabilizer bracket. that's what i'm going to do. you will need it if you are adding the extension to clear the rear tire carrier. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

Good call!!!

Once my other half takes the rider's course, I fully plan on an RC51. I went from a TL1000 ( 2 years without a bike)to this 600RR. It's fast for a stock 600... and waaaaayyy lighter than the TL. But I do miss that low-end torque!!! Is that seat on the 1000 as bad as my 600? I need to order a Corbin seat for sure.

I hit a drop in the road the bikes shocks compressed enough to make the strap buckle break when it came back up.

There's a product I just found out about to prevent undue compression, and rebound, on dirtbikes when towing/hauling. It's just a plastic brace that you slip up under the front fender, sitting on top of the tire between the forks. When you tighten the tie-down straps, this thing acts as a stop, so that your forks only compress slightly. A guy I know has been using one for a while on his hitch-mounted hauler, and swears by it. Time to get myself one. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>That sounds like a great idea. Where can I get one of those? Is there a website to order it from?

Yea, that hitch extender is really creating some leverage. I have a similar carrier for an ATV and use it without extension on my Expedition and it puts A LOT of pressure on that hitch.

Speaking of bikes, here is my bike. Its registered and 100% street legal: http://www.marissa.org/street_banshee/
