The Locker was around $600 and installation was another $600.
As far as the traction control system goes, I don't think it would make any attempt to engage since the axle is locked and there is no difference in side to side wheel speed. Check the posting on the ARB Locker for more thoughts on this.
The front locker has its own switch, as it should, because you would NOT want it to automatically engage in conjunction with the rear locker all the time. These things are only intended for very extreme and specific situations and conditions. In other words you can get in alot of trouble using a front locker in the wrong situation, since it severely effects your ability to STEER the vehicle.
The smart disengage issue is being looked into. At this point I don't think this thing is "idiot proof" and the operator is going to have to be "smart" enough to disengage it or not try to engage it at highway speed, which would be rather "exciting" and VERY expensive if attempted.
I have no idea how it effects the warranty but assume the same rules apply as with any other after market parts you install, that is unless you try to engage it at 80 mph, in which case you might have a hard time getting GM to cover the resulting mess!
