I found out last Friday from the "Hummer Hot Line" that my H3 had been built that week and that it was on a train in TN on last Friday.

My dealer called today to let me know that it had been built and to give me the VIN (all of which I already knew) and mentioned that the delivery date is the 16th! The 16th?

Damn that's a slow train. 3 weeks from TN to NH??!!

Not like a truck that loads at the plant and is headed to particular destination(s). Shipping via train means the shipment of vehicles leaves the plant, and heads to different switching lots. There, the railcar your H3 is on may wait a week or two until they have a load of cars going your way. Then again, it could be less than 3 weeks.
Once it arrives in NJ, the vehicles are picked up by car hauler and taken to the dealer.
Could be it is Nashville, since Nashville has a giant train switching lot.
