I see a lot you guys are in SoCal. What dealership do you go for service? I did a search but didn't come up with a solid recommendation. I do not like the dealership which I bought from so I am not going there for service.

Don't walk, run to Cerritos and talk to Mike Sabreeze. He has close ties to AM General, knows the ins and outs of Hummer, is on the Hummer Baja race team etc.

I've been to Hummer Pasadena (stupid and they suck), Hummer Sherman Oaks (nice guys but lack in the knowledge dept., they know zero about H1's but still nice guys).

Mike is now handling all of my H1 service. I am leaving it with him over my Christmas vacation to get oil changed and a small crack in the fiberglass repaired on the hood. This guy is the best in SoCal no doubt.

It's kind of hard to find. It's not on Studebaker. You need to take a left turn before the Hummer Dealer than a right at the light. They're at the end of the street. Be sure to talk to Mike. He is truly a Hummer expert. I talked to him right after he got back from a Baja race, very cool, very knowledgable AND has all the right contacts. The other great guy is Max Mayo but he doesn't have the knowledge Mike does.

Good Luck.

Jason

Jason,

Only Hummer Techs works on our H2 right? Not no GMC guy.. right?

What is Mike? Service manager or a tech?

Thanks

Mmm, not sure about that one. You really need to talk to Mike. He will make sure you are taken care of. I got his name from 2 other Hummer owners that he services. He put together an emergency repair kit for one of them for their trip to Moab. He really knows his stuff.

Don Howard at Thousand Oaks has been very helpful. They have always been worth the extra drive for me.

I purchased my H2 from Mark Christopher in Ontario and I can honestly say I wanted to the salesperson.

I have yet to take it in for service so I will give them a try. If the experience is anything like the buying part I ll be driving to Cerritos, West Covina, or Pasadena.

My salesman at Mark Christopher was Bill Smith and he was the most honest salesman that I have ever dealt with in many years of buying cars.

I guess I should have checked the fourum before buying mine.

Im not going to drop a name on her,(hint) but she did everything in her power to convience me I was going to have to pay full pop for my 2004 H2. And that was after I got the standard sales lines of "I'm here to represent you, not the dealer. ", "We are not making a dime of this truck",and "I don't make the decision on the final price."

Thats when I told her to get the guy/gal who makes the decision and bring his rear out here so I can buy the Hummer.

She went into the Top Secret back room, came back, and said, "sorry I cant lower the price."

Suprisingly as my wife, 3 month old son, and I told her thanks but no thanks, is when the "Sales manager" appeared from the back room and I agreed on a purchase price of $51065 for the 2004 H2 with the lux package.

Sorry for the rant guys. Had to relive the sales experience.
