That looks like a great mount. Currently my cb is on an old mount setup to sit over a hump in an older car (if you can picture this). Two flaps that anchor it down on the hump. The flaps fold underneat, so I just have it all sitting on the "cd storage bin". I can then velcro the VHF radio on top of the CB. I'll have to look more at your setup though as that seems more practical. VHF is really small, so can always mount it underneath the steering wheel by right leg.

I have magnetic antennas for both the CB and the VHF, but I'm not sure how much distance needs to be inbetween the two. Branches tend to be on one side or the other on the trails, so I put my cb antenna in the middle (where it still gets knocked over a few times per day). Just recently got the VHF, so this is a new dilemma.

Thinking about the setup Phil has for a CB and then maybe just sticking with magnetic for VHF or vice versa.

Although now you have me drooling over extra underbody protection!
