If you do alot of offroading you will find that an autotransmission is better. With a manual you need to keep gearing up or down and it wears on your clutch.

I got the adventure package, and have been 4wheeling in my H3 (about 500 miles on it). I had a '97 Jeep Grand Cherokee V8 with upcountry suspension and 31" tires--the H3 goes so many places my Jeep couldn't, due to locker and ground clearance. Plus the 33" tires make the H3 look more rugged and for resale the rear locker will help more than hurt.

My Jeep friends make fun of the H3 because it doesn't have a soild front axle, but they were amazed by the off-road capabilities stock. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
