We have a few Eco-thought Nazis here but the best was as were were deploying from a Military base "somewhere in Texas" to a unnamed port to load our uparmored Hummers, we had some one come tell us it was because we were driving the hummers that we had to go to that unnamed country over in the hot sandy part of the world. After seeeing more than our share of IED, the Hummers were amazing. I will post some pics if anyone is interested

I work in LA on a tv show. There are more Prius (what's the plural for Prius?) per sq/ft in this parking lot than a Toyota dealer. Anyways, I don't get flak because (according to them):

1- it's not my daily driver
2- it's a diesel (H1)
3- it's usually covered in mud/dirt/scratches -- in their words, "I actually use it for what it was intended"

from talking to alot of people over the past few years about my H2, then my H1, it seems the major complaint is not necessarily the mpg, but the fact that so many are blinged out, spottless, and obviously never taken offroad. I remember back before I owned an suv, it was funny to me too when somebody would pull up in a jeep all chromed out and squeaky clean. I'm not saying you should all run out and get some trail rash, or stop washing your trucks, it's just what alot of them are thinking

What's an Eco-terrorist and do you use a 6 or 7 shot load?

Hey, I was driving home the other day in my H3 as I was turning left this jackass in a Toyota Highlander gives me the Thumbs Down. I just ignored him. On the flip side the H3 does get alot of compliments...............

I will pick up my new H3 tomorrow and part of why I am buying it, aside from the fact I test-drove one as well as rented one and loved, it is BECAUSE of these Eco-terrorists! While I do garden organically, try and recycle, etc. I still do NOT feel people should tell me what to drive or what not to. If I want a fortress around my family I will buy one. You should've seen the faces on my very judgemental and liberal in-laws when I told them the gas mileage AND the fact that it's a great vehicle to drive for local hospitals in large snows. They didn't expect that, I tell you! I might not choose to do heavy-duty off-road but if there's a crisis, I can go and help. I also loved the "status" accusations -- how is the H3 more status-seeking then the new Porsche Cayenne or the BMW or Mercedes SUVs? Why are they more universally acceptable? This vehicle matches who I am...it's an iron fist in a velvet glove and I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to own it.

we have our share of degenerate hippies in TX but they wouldn't have the sack to do something dumb like that. 3 out of every 5 men I know, carry concealed weapons. odds that even a dope damaged, ignorantly liberal mind can understand.
