Steve, reading your last post I realized that it seems the exact same thing may have caused my breakage...I stand corrected RockYoda.

I was going through a large dip about half way up a steep rutted hill. Coming out of the dip made my front drivers side tire come off the ground (about 2 to 3 ft according to a video from a previous trip) -- at that moment the TC system sent all the power to the other front tire, which was only making contact on the outer edge on the slope to the right. I'm still amazed that I actually made it the rest of the way up the hill with the severely bent tie rod. I was afraid of backing down such a steep hill with f'd up steering -- not to keen on rolling.

At least now I know what probably happened. Thanks guys!
