Phew! Got'er back together.
Drilled out the rivet bodies and fit some tiny screws in. Questioned the strength of the connection and supplemented with epoxy 
I considered a tack weld with a minitorch, but I'll see how this holds first 
If it happens again, I'll have to look into whether Fabtech or someone else has a stronger replacement axle rather than that flimsy Chinese thing
