Just traded my H3 in last week for an H2.
While I had only owned it for 5 months, and it only had roughly 3500 miles on it at time of trade-in, the H3 turned out to be a tad too small for my family's needs. It was a very nice, solid, capable, well-optioned, well-appointed vehicle...perfect for daily errands or a weekend camping outing.
Going from an '03 Chevy Silverado 2500HD Crew Cab truck to an H3 was a bit of a downsize...perhaps too much so. As time passed, I found myself missing the large displacement 8-cyl. engine, larger towing capacity, and overall larger interior space.
The inline 5-cyl. in the H3 was adequate, especially for around town -- it did what it was designed to do. My biggest gripe with the H3 was the design placement of the window / door lock controls...they definitely need to rethink that. And the seatbelt could be a little hard to access. Also, there is just not enough room between the seats and the door panels/armrest to access the seat adjustment / heater buttons -- you nearly have to open the door to adjust them.
The H2, on the other hand, is 10 times what the H3 is with regards to size, interior room, power, and options. My wife and kids enjoyed the H3, but they are having a blast in the H2!
