I've never washed my roof. Just line-x it and never worry again (plus it helps when you drop stuff on the rack and it falls through and scratches the roof but you never really see the scratch because of the roof rack and so it rusts)

I picked up this handy little scrubber at a local Auto store. Real handy,, small. gets under the rack, and wash mitt is inner changeable. Plus it has a telescoping handle to really scrub that rack area.. hEh Heh

What's the clearance needed on this? My rack is 1/8" off the roof for the cross rails, 1-1/2" for the floor. Will it fit? It might actually be worth it to occasionally clean the avian fecal matter off the roof.
