Better to be over prepared and just say "damn, that was easy" than to be under prepared and get hurt.
Don't want to rain on your safe-moving-parade... Just wanted to throw that word of caution out there. Hell, I'm looking forward to wheeling with you next weekend! That might be difficult if you smooshed like a pancake!

Been looking for a quick weight reduction program anyway!
I may recriut a few of the Bubba looking maintenance guys around the complex, and offer them some shrimp on the Bar B, or a trip to a male targeted establishment!
I guess I'm not really one to ask for help. It feels good to say "I did it all by myself!"

Re: Moving a Safe
Ric, here is my uncles email reply.
Cross country Freight on that safe should run about
300.00. Having a local safe company move it upstairs would probably run another 300.00. With that many stairs at least 3 guys and a motorized stair climbing dolly to get it up there.
The moving company seems to be way out of line with
their pricing. Doing it as above is the best way. Him doing it himself is an accident waiting to happen.
Have him call me if he needs more info

Thank You so much...
It just confirms my feeling that they just don't wanna move it.
A good idea from another site that I visited was to remove the front door(Which is about half the weight of the safe!)
Or I can just leave it in the garage, and get rid of the beerator to open up a little space!
Thank You for your ideas, info, and troubles.
Ric

Or better yet, make the safe into a kegerator - that would be cool!
