No one else really cares what anything is to YOU. You are an idiot though. Combat has nothing to do with whether or not one is a veteran. There are many veterans that never saw a single day of combat but deserve just as much recognition as those that do. They still signed up to put their life on the line and serve their country.

So, they are not veterans once they reach the threshold as defined by the GAO, even if they are not in combat, according to you?

That's what you are alluding to when you said "They are still vets to me once they have one day in combat" Since it mutually excludes non-combat service personnel.

Since when does GAO make definitions. I never talked benefits or pay. There are a number of programs depending upon status and still dont change the fact if they were in a combat zone one day its Combat Patch and vet status. Benefits is another issue even for Vietnam, Desert storm, etc. Benefits are all different so dont try the GAO crap been there.

You know...just once I would like the oppertunity to be the least mature person on this forum. I don't think that's too much to ask. I am one of the younger members, I openly dislike the vehicles that all of you own...and yet someone always seems to be less mature than me. I just don't get it.

I can not even really tell you what they were fueding about, I just wish someone would realize that is arguement was probably not even worth the effort they exerted. Id theft is bad.... yes... why not leave it there...

This thread hasn't been about identity theft for about 1.5 pages now.

Boys, boys, boys... 24 years of AF service and still going. I've been shot at while I was TDY to Kobar Towers, (Daharan Saudi Arabia), but I never saw combat meaning I didn't carry my M-16 and flight line tool box while I fixed F-16s. Does it really matter about what the definitions of being a vet are? One serves their country by choice and could care less what the definitions of being a vet are. I know I just spoke for a few million service members, but I think most will argree. Most of us are very proud of what we do and have done even knowing that a lot of americans dislike us especially with what is happening around the world post 9-11. Enjoy your freedoms and if you want thank a vet.

Huh? I could always use a vacation...but I am confused as to why anything I said in that post would lead you to believe that.

BTW...I still don't have a copy of the DVD from last year's Moab Trip. Is the mail system to difficult for you to figure out?
