I won't. First, when I lifted we didn't round up to the nearest hundred. Second, he never moved the stops out of the way to do a leg press. That's equal to saying you Benched 500lbs when all you did was extend your elbows and moved the bar 2 or 3 inches.
That's extremely misleading and is not a leg press by anybody's standards. Besides, double that weight and that is what he is purported to have done. Irresponsible.

Well, you pretty much summed up what I was thinking...I'm hat tipping JUST because of his age and I would sure be happy if I'm playing with any weight at that age.

and I don't disagree with that, but why ruin it with the BS. Why not try to do a legit 750lb leg press or something. It's just someone that is expected not to be fudging on details to the point it resembles lying.

Re: 2k lb Leg press by Pat Robertson
I know 30 year olds that cannot press themselves ten times without being out of breath. If a 74 year old guy can move 990 pounds back and forth a few inches, great. Who really cares if he fudges a little. Nothing will change for anyone because of it.

Re: 2k lb Leg press by Pat Robertson
Anyone could do that, I'd like to see him try one with a full range of motion, it would probably crush him. I see people in the gym all the time trying to show off by pressing a lot of weight, but only barely bending the knees. I have extremely strong legs and have done over 1000 lbs for multiple reps, and I have only seen 2 people go over 1000 lbs with a full range of motion. Give me 2000 lbs and I can bend my knees too.

I am going to have to call out Pat on that one! Not only does he leave the stops in place and only go about 1/4 of a full press, he also uses his hands to help!
Paragon, i agree why not just do one nice 700lb rep. It would be much more impressive and honest.
