Re: Internet Explorer 7.0 Beta
I've been using it for a couple months now. The first release was missing some features that bugged the sh*t out of me, but they fixed them in the latest release. Stupid things like sorting your favorites automatically or loading your homepage when opening new tabs.
I've also found several sites where it doesn't render javascripts/CSS properly and I have to switch to firefox.
I do like how it smooths out fonts throughout windows. Makes everything look much better.

I loaded it on my old laptop and have played with it a few days while I set up the new one (download and update software, transfer over address books, favorites, etc.), and I have noticed at a few websites (Lowrance for one) there were Java script errors. I was able to click on OK and still see the item.
I might just go there now and see if I get the same error on my new laptop, still running IE 6.
Addendum:
Just went to the Lowrance website, and even running IE 6 I still get the Java Script error line 654. So, it must be their site. Hope their GPS units are better than their website.

Re: Internet Explorer 7.0 Beta
Garmin is my only GPS choice. Never heard of Lowrance, so it's probably really good, and I have absolutely no idea.

I have a Garmin for the H3 and have no complaints. Easy to use, appears to be quite accurate; however, when I had a eTrex for hiking, it sucked. Lost signals in the canyons. Switched to Magellan Sportrack TOPO and it was great. However, it literally fell apart when I was switching batteries the other day. When removing the battery pack, the entire bottom half fell out.
So, I'm in the market, and I'm looking at the Lowrance Expedition C Plus. Ratings are fantastic, and a geologist friend who has a company that does a lot of research in the western states swears by Lowrance.
Lowrance is famous for their fishing gear such as Sonar and fish finders. However, they were also the first to introduce the 12-channel GPS, and now they offer a 16-channel GPS/WAAS system.

Re: Internet Explorer 7.0 Beta
IE 7.0 beta is much better than Firefox IMO. Don't believe me just try it, haven't touched Firefox since. Make sure you try to access your online banking though. I know you can't access Wells Fargo for one with it.
