Re: Roof mounted cargo box
I was under the impression that Thule does NOT support using their products with the H2 and the factory racks (even though they supply the Hummer cargo box). If you want to use their products, you're supposed to use their racks. If you want the U-bolts, you may just have to go to Home Depot...or, I thought that the cargo box was attached with smaller bolts to the inside rail of the cross racks..?

Re: Roof mounted cargo box
I got the bigger one! I need to get longer carriage bolts to make the hardware work though.

Just don't forget to take it off and put it one outside the garage... Unless you have an aircraft hangar.

Re: Roof mounted cargo box
Hehehe... I had a friend do that with his bike. Put it on his vehicle in an underground parking lot, and tried driving out....

Haha, opps. See, it should have been the HUMMER Tactical bike. It would have blasted a hole through the parking garage ceiling.

Re: Roof mounted cargo box
After messing with the brackets for hours I finally figured it out. Just take the end of the roof rack off and pull out the rubber piece, then you can slide some carriage bolts in the track and just bolt the cargo box to the rail. Geez!

Thats exactly what I did with my Thule box and no problems. Thousands of miles with it up there and all is well
