The reason I'm asking is because I bought a cradle for my ipod that plugs into one of those outlets and I want to know if my battery will go dead if I leave the cradle plugged in overnight or even for a few days. Thanks.

Until the battery goes dead
As others have already stated, they are hot all the time, so long as the battery is hot.

Thanks for the info guys. I guess I'll have to be careful about leaving the ipod plugged in.

Don't worry about it; it would take weeks for the I-pod's electrical load to drain the H3's battery. If the I-pod's rechargeable, it'll shut down automaticallly anyway to protects its internal battery.

Correct just for the iPod but alarm and some other things could do it a lot faster. I unfortunately found this out after just a week of being out of town. It wasn't completely dead but not enough juice to turn the engine over.

Do you mean the H3's stock electrical load drained the battery in a week? Or are you talking about aftermarket add-ons? If its the former, that would be a serious engineering mistake by Hummer.
