I've used my synthentic line with standard snatch blocks a bunch of times. All snatch blocks have "rollers", so you're not dragging the rope over anything that could snag or fray it.
I have a portable winch (9500ti) and it is a LOT lighter with the synthetic line. I'd definitely go synthetic.

x2! Plus, if you do change from cable to synthetic, make sure you change the fairlead from a roller style to the other smooth style.(k, i don't know the word for smooth fairlead  )

I have a friend who wants to know where he can find a good warm wench. but I don't know much about wenche. He also mentioned something about open leg snatch something or another but I wasn't paying attention. Maybe someone out there might have some suggestions.   |
