Re: OMG! My rear right rotor is back to making 'that' sound again!!!
They figured mine out quick ,no problems.
I dont understand why hmmm3 is having problems
H3 uses the scrub type for the e brake ,its seperate.

Re: OMG! My rear right rotor is back to making 'that' sound again!!!
I'm taking it to the dealer service dept within the hour. They had a sedan loaner for me. I told them no, I'm going on Nevada and need an SUV. They found me a Jeep (Grand Cherokee, I think). They've always given me an Escalade .. I think they should have tried harder this time since the H3 is going back in again. Anyways, the reason they had it 11 days the last time was because they didn't believe me when I told them it was a rotor/pad problem. After having a similar problem with our Jeep Grand Cherokee when it was new .. and with fourfourto's experience .. I just knew. At first, he called and told me it was the usual noise with these trucks .. not a problem. He said it 'just needed lubing'. I picked it up and returned it same day. Service Mgr heard it. They tried three sets of new pads .. each one made the sound worse. They called in two Hummer specialists. They told them to resurface the rotor and put on some extra heavy duty pads. This is why it took 11 days. The service dept told me they HAD to go step by step .. they couldn't go straight to the rotors. When the outsourced survey person for the dealer called me the other night, I told her I would have gotten it back in a day IF they had listened to me and AT LEAST checked for that problem first. It turned out I was right in the end .. the Service Mgr apologized. Just yesterday I received my Hummer survey for this past repair. I'm holding onto it. The problem is back. Leaving on my trip without my Hummer and will be gone the week.

Re: OMG! My rear right rotor is back to making 'that' sound again!!!
ROFLMAO .... thanks for the comic relief!! Just got back from the dealer. Took the 'other' service mgr on a test drive. He heard it and twisted. Asked me what I thought it was, just out of curiosity. I told him, "Either the drive shaft or rear axle, especially with the additional intermittent whine I hear thrown in." He nodded his head and said, "Yep, that's what I'm thinking exactly." We went back to talk to the first service mgr .. he insisted it has to be the rotor/pads since the problem went away for 12 days after the rotor work. The service manager today said, no, he's pretty sure it's the rear axle or drive shaft. Then, in the same breath, he said, "Maybe it's the calipers hitting the drum brakes." I said, "OG, what???? This has disc brakes not drums!" I had hoped he was only joking, but he wasn't. They'll have it for the week. In the meanwhile, if the replacement parts (two vent boxes plus strip along the wipers) don't come in this week .. I'll have to bring the H3 back in AGAIN after I pick it up next Monday. That's when they'll repaint the hood and boxes.
BTW, they said they had a Jeep for me. When I got there, they actually had a Durango . Turned it down and got a Cadi SRX instead. Hoping they'll get an Escalade in today or tomorrow morning.
ALSO ... when I told him I need my jack replaced due to recall he said not all will be replaced. They have to look at it. I told him I received a letter and mine was pre-August build. He said it didn't matter .. not all are replaced. Go figure. They also have to order my left roof rail.
So, do you think I'll have are built rig once all is said and done? Who else has everything getting replaced?
