Re: DASH BOARDS
OK Stuart,
You got some more of my business!!
I'm going to the dealership tonight to pick-up some stuff I had ordered. I will check on price and availability of a new overhead console. Since I figure this part contains $.03 or $.04 worth of plastic it shouldn't cost more than $50 - $75 from Hummer, RIGHT?
I will try to get a new part and send it to you for the Denali treatment. That way I won't have to drive around with a bunch of wires and switches hanging down for 3 weeks!!
It really doesn't matter what color of console I buy if it is going to be treated with Denali does it??
I'll call you tomorrow with my results from tonight's visit to the dealer. Just hold onto that check of mine untill we figure out what we are doing - OK?

Re: DASH BOARDS
rumor has it that the overhead console is sold with the parts in it only and costs the big bucks. Better off leaving the parts hanging there
---or Stuart may have one lying around

mowdoc,
The wires NICELY shove up into the hole where the console was, it's NOT A PROBLEM . Also, like tomp says, you CANNOT just buy the console without all the switches and all, I think it's like $600.00!!!!!!!!!!!

I can change the wheel in about 10 minutes. SUTNEIL did it in about 2 hours
It comes with directions and is fairly easy to do.
sutneil, hummbob and a few others on this forum have done it,
Price is $590.00 for a 6 piece set + $295.00 for the matching wheel.
I have a cosmetic non perfect 5 piece set on e-bay for $400.00 obo.

Uh Yeah, I ACTUALLY paid the Stealership to do it The instructions Stuart sent seemed easy enough, but I didn't want to mess with the Air Bag

Swapping the wheel is a very simple procedure. After having done it once, I'd bet I could do it now in about 10 minutes. Go for it and good luck!
