I think it's pretty cool! We have to buy pinata's for the hell of it every now and then for our 5 year old and friends. They're really boring.
They would get a kick out of a hummer one plus it's positive reinforcement, how do you think the Mexicans got all of the US to love Mexican food so much. You would bang on a donkey pinata wearing a sombrero and out comes candy. Great sublimimal advertising for the kids.
