I am on vacation in Florida 1500miles from home and the transmission was just diagnosed as bad clutches? something to the effect of not changing at the corarect prnessures?any chance at 46900mi the dealer will help me out back home? the engine also has a noisy crank bearing,, this is not acceptable that there is no recall on the transmission, i know of 3 people locally that have had the same problem, Any one have any ammo to go to the dealer with for out of warranty situations like this.

Thanks.

go buy you a power programmer and see if you can change the shift pressure and speeds and RPMs.

Also, try driving it in tow/haul mode. That will change things.

There is no reason to have a recall on the tranny, there is no "defect." It sucks that you have a problem, I am well on my way at 32K miles and about a year out of warranty, but these trannys are used in millions of other vehicles.

Hey Paragon, are you a Hummer Mechanic? how would I know how to set this up, would a dealer do it?. The Hummer dealer i was at only work on Hummer and the mechanic was explaining that the pressures i believe were to high at which it changed up the gears.
thanks, any info will be greatly appreciated.

Has anyone had issues like this when using high shift pressures from those modified through one of the power programmers?

I'm not a mechanic, but I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

The programmers alter your shift tune from stock, so it might work. On my Diablosport programmer, I can also go in and manually make adjustments to each shift point.

It's just a programmer you can buy from a local 4x4 or speed shop.

Since I don't really know Jack about crap, I've had to adapt by learning the in's and out's of the Search function. Besides, I don't want to read through all that stuff again.

Go ahead, ask something....
