Re: Wind noise on new H3
Yes, I have had the same experience. I 'think' it was caused by a crack in the roof rail on the drivers side. I had the same question and the guys on the H3 forum (right below the one you had posted on.. you're in the H2 forum here) told me to check the roof rail. Mine started right after I picked my H3 up, too. Step up on your side step or inside the door, look down into the area where the black roof rail connects to the A pillar (black bar that comes up along your windshield). If you see a slight crack right inside that connecting point, it's cracked and needs to be replaced. You can usually see it. My H3 has been in service for other issues, so I haven't had a chance to see if the problem is resolved, but it makes sense. One other point .. do you have marker lights? If yes, the marker lights have had a wind noise issue. Keep us posted. Congrats on your new H3! You're going to love it!!!

Re: Wind noise on new H3
Hey 3'er. You're in the wrong forum!
You may be having the same issue some of the H2's have. Bad factory windshield installation. You could have air leaking in through the windshield.
As mentioned already, it could be the Apillar molding or the roof track.
Also, do you have marker lights or HUMMER OFF Road lights? If so, that could be another reason for the noise.

Alos, maybe BOBO can chime in here. He has issues with many things!
..it's mostly walking, but I'm sure he has some answers for you as I think he has trained many of the H3 mechaincs.

Re: Wind noise on new H3
Take some duct tape, and tape across the top of the windshield where it meets up with the trim. Take it for a ride, if the noise is gone, there could have been a sealer skip at the plant where they apply the urethane before the windshield is installed.
If the noise is still there, remove that tape and tape down the A-pillar molding especially where it goes inward toward the center of the vehicle. Go for another ride, if this is it, the A-pillar molding is not fitted correctly.
You can do this, or the dealer will, but no guarantees they will take the time. Dealers also have electronic leak detectors that they use by closing all the doors and windows, turning the heater blower up to max, and then run a wand around the front area. An air leak will register on the meter.
