I have to agree. I was sold from the front but from the side it doesn't look as good. It looks like a good funtional product I just don't like how far out it is, especially the fairlead.

Re: H3 winch mounts for sale
Dont get me wrong, I like the product. Just thought it would look better pressed up against the grill. It sits a little too far for me to buy one. But then again, its just me.

Re: H3 winch mounts for sale
Sorry I am slow - the reason I ask about the patent pending is because you have done a lot of work and I would hate for someone to just take your idea.
In regards to how far it sticks out, I think with a non-roller fairlead it would be fine.

It can't get any closer! Gotta have room for a winch in there somewhere . It's the roller fairlead that makes it look like it's sticking out a long way, but look in the pics...it doesn't look out of place at all, and it's not sitting in the mud.

Re: H3 winch mounts for sale
Cris,
Do you have a sandwich shot with the brush guard? I am assuming they go in this order, brush guard, winch mount then tow hooks. Just want to make sure. Anything I need to know about the install?

Don't have a sandwich shot here, can take one if you need, but you've got the order right. I had a plastic shim between my tow hooks & bumper, so order went...shim, brush guard, winch mount, tow hooks. You'll need an assistant to hold it all in place while you start the bolts. My winch wiring went right through the round holes in the lower grill opening, easy pass around the radiator, then you've gotta cut small slots in the battery post covers to let the wire through.
Easy, no mods necessary!

Sounds good, thanks. Don't think there is any need to take another pic, looks like you just provided all the info I need. Will post pics when installed.
