Re: H3's on the Rubicon
It was a great trip. A bit nerve wracking at times trying to prevent damage to your rigs, but I think overall we did well with little carnage.
Thanks for letting us come along! You were all great company and we all had a very enjoyable trip. Lots of great food, that chicken was killer (Bebe, you should post the recipe on our club Grub board!)
BTW Here's a picture of Spider Lake taken when we went swimming Saturday. This lake is one of the many reasons FOTR is working so hard to preserve the Rubicon.
Interested in helping keep the Rubicon open forever? Please visit the Friends Of The Rubicon (FOTR) page at http://www.friendsoftherubicon.com/ to find out what you can do to help! We are always looking for volunteers for our work parties, educational drives, and other projects.
If you don't have the time to help with work projects, you can also donate to the nonprofit Rubicon Trail Foundation (RTF). More information at http://www.rubicontrail.org/.

Re: H3's on the Rubicon
Awesome Scotte, a little Rubicon education goes a long way. I learned so much in the last couple of weeks preparing for the trip. And being on the 'Con with you really drove it home how important it is that we all do whatever we can to keep it open.
Welcome to the board Scotte!

Hey Scotte -
You guys were awesome. I don't think we could have had a better group to lead us through. I defintely look forward to meeting up with you guys again.
And ditto what Bebe said.

Re: H3's on the Rubicon
great great pics guys - wish I could be there - I don't think Hawaii has a place like this but I will keep searching - with all these dead volcanos there has to be something around here - LOL

Cool, thanks for bringing the camera. This lake was most definately one of the highlights. I am glad there is a picture to show everyone.
