My number is 916-321-1215 or my e-mail is amcintosh@sacbee.com.

I have an early 2003. My wheels fall off all the time. I'm seriously getting sick of it.

I have no anti-Hummer agenda.
read the story.

The parts posted from GM I also quoted in my story .

I am seeking ALL responses - not just people who may like to see a recall. One such person has contacted me already.

If you don't think there should be a recall, I want to hear that, too. I strive for getting all side of a story into the paper.

I'd love to talk to some real H2 owners, too, not just pseudonyms on a web thread.

so come on you guys/gals. pick up the phone, let me hear your thoughts. Andrew McIntosh 916-321-1215

I can't, it requires one to "log in" to read it.

It is noteworthy, Andrew, that your column begins with a typical sensationalized account of imminent danger. Now, this is sort of the way of the media, i presume because it sells the most papers and/or gets the highest ratings, but the first 3 paragraphs are, plain and simple, dramatized reporting.

Have you reported on one of the Toyota Prius's myriad recalls of late?

The 4 people that responded to you have, collectively, over 130K posts on this message board from the day it was started, all own 2003 H2s, and live in different parts of the country (well, one lives in Canada). We have all 4 met and driven our trucks off-road together, still own our trucks even though this "ball-joint" issue is 3 years old.

Let me put it another way. This is very old news and it wasn't news then.
