Sounds like the night when we camped right near a game trail. We didn't know it when we set up. All night I kept badgering the wife, "what was that," and imagined bears getting at our food. The wife was pretty pissed with me for being such a sissy.
No clue what you were hearing.

I didn't know WTH it was.
Later, while that thing was still yelling at us, there was some rustling around the neighboring camp site. So we've got a 3 horned monster above us getting ready to eat us, and a black bear 40 ft away ready for the left overs.
