Even if they de-odorize it, you'll always think you smell smoke, so they definitely should replace your truck. got it back as as I expected no smoke smell. The test will be next week after the rosey smell is gone and it's been baking in the sun for a while. We'll see. Short of the smoke incident, their service was great. Should I write a letter to the general manager or assume he's heard and just call it OK unless it starts to smell. I need to make sure they have on record the actual complaint. I did request the paperwork for the detail so I have that in my records but it's kinda vague.

I know its not my Hummer but one time I took my 02 Z06 Vette in for service and when I got it back a few days later I noticed a new pair of Armani (womens) sungalsses in my console. I was thinking someone took thier woman out to lunch or dinner in my Vette. I never called and bitched I just kept the glasses....

I just received a call from the dealership asking me a bunch of rather vauge questions about my service and whether I was satisfied with "the end result". "Did your service writer do OK"? Blah blah blah. Are you kidding me? The end result?? What about the hassles to get to the end result?? I asked her to be sure to send me a written survey I could fill out with my concerns. In the end, all is well, but before the end, not so well
