Re: H4 Serious Possibility...
As long as they stay true to the Hummer brand it will be bad ass! Have you seen what Jeep has done? I am pretty sure that the Jeep Compass is not trail rated! Talk about selling out!

Re: H4 Serious Possibility...
"General Motors may dump the Chevrolet TrailBlazer and effectively replace it with a new Hummer model called the H4, according to a report today by the Detroit News. While Chevy will also get a more car-like crossover to fill the gap in its lineup, the midsize body-on-frame truck slot would be filled by the H4. The rumor comes a week after we reported GM had cancelled plans for a new versions of the TrailBlazer and GMC Envoy. GM reportedly decided to keep the existing models in production indefinitely. Global Insight analyst Rebecca Lindland says the new Hummer would arrive in 2009 and be built on a smaller verison of the H3 chassis."

Re: H4 Serious Possibility...
I last heard that the H4 was not going to happen because it could
not stay true to Hummer standards.

I read that the Trailblazer is history in a couple of years regardless. I rented one, not a very nice truck.

Totally agree. I find it funny that the on again off again reintroduction of again redesign/importation of the LR D90 is/was going to come in 2007. Probably not going to happen at this point but they could surprise us. For GM not to try to attack before or at the same time is foolish.
What really surprises me is the fact that GM was essentially able to pull a rabbit out of a hat (atleast for their standards) with a 15 or so month (I forget the actual number but it was quick says industry experts) turn around on the H2 but it seemed much longer with the H3 and no more so with the H4.
As for the Trailblazer. Who cares the buick, GMC and the Saab are still around. GM really needs to stop the Rebadging crap. Last year (before the Saab) they said they were going to limit it but jeez they haven't. I understand the GMC division (big trucks et all) but why does Chevy need a truck line up. If GMC were the only ones selling 1/2ton pickups they would beat ford. (Chevy and GMC #'s combined where higher than Fords last I heard)
Sorry for the rant. I like some GM vehicles but some of their decisions baffle me.

Re: H4 Serious Possibility...
The H2 was mostly AM General. They along with GM's help was able to go from ground breaking to truck in 14-16 months. The H3 took 3 years and GM is sooo slow on new product. I would hand it to AM again and get the 4 done. It will come just late. Dealers will be squaking soon
