You should call one of the major news organizations and explain the potential of this story.

Ran into the same problem on a Buick forum recently when a guy was selling "GNX #208". The real 208 had been wrapped around a tree. The seller illegally pulled the VIN and put it on a regular GN, along with some GNX parts.

After countless complaints, E-Bay did nothing.

Luckily the dude DOESN'T have my VIN
