Re: Ball Drop
We launched out of Fourchon. Went about 18 miles off shore. We did get the sh*t kicked out of us though. Seas were about 4 yo 5 feet.

Re: Ball Drop
I've fished out of Venice numerous times since the storm. Things were awfully bad down there but the fishing has been incredible since Katrina. We fished out of the "Jump" last December, which is five minutes from the launch. We had 125 trout and 25 redfish by 11:00am. The Marina is up and running with live bait and ice. The River has been so low this year, this winter is going to be out of sight. Fishing out of Myrtle Grove tomorrow for some trout and redfish. Next week hopefully weather permitting, it's offshore back for the tuna and red snapper.

Re: Ball Drop
Sh*t, thats rule number one in our boats. Boat cannot leave the launch without proper refreshments on board.

probably is the same, looks just like it. That's what I have. I think I have an 8" drop though and it has a 14K lb rating/ 1000lb tongue weight rating but it weighs, itself, very little.
