Re: I want this color, she wants black.....
pretty big SOB isn't it? I really like it, drives and rides as good as the H3. It's actually bigger than a Grand Cherokee. We had one parked to a Grand and it is just ...... bigger.
The front fenders have to go, as does the front and rear bumpers. The fenders are just too wide at the front and look goofy. Some aftermarket bumpers, fenders, lift, etc. and it's a pretty cool ride.
I haven't seen the green in person but the black is Ok. My biggest "complaint" is the stupid door looks in the interior. They are huge and just goofy looking.

Re: I want this color, she wants black.....
the interior in the rear reminds me of the Honda Element. That I dont like. I really like the interior up front, they did a good job with that. And the "rescue green" color is kick ass
The other cool thing is that you can do a simple budget boost to fit 35's and a four inch lift will fit 37's. They already have them developed and are selling them.
I dont mind the fenders that much but I'm also envisioning larger tires on the jeep. They look oversized with the stock 32's but I dont think they will with larger tires. And the bumpers, well..........aftermarket will catch up and until then just chop them up a little

Looking good, moon. Have to say I don't like the acid green as much as the other colors. Black is fine, but red and blue kick ass, imo. I love the hardtop on those rigs - removable or configurable as you like it.
So are you just checking them out or thinking about buying one for real?
Question for you, I read that the JK has CV driveshafts ... is that true? What are the (dis?)advantages of that setup over u-joints?

Weird, I just saw this link on another board.

I don't really like how the 4-door looks stock, but lifted, it looks pretty kickass.

I like the interior up front also, except for the window switches and the door locks. It's like they paid more attention and tried to get cutesy with the locks and the switches were an after thought. But overall I really like it.
You might be right about the fender, but I really like the bushwhacker fenders that Ken posted if only because they aren't flat and don't appear to be as wide at the front.
The fenders do simply remove with something like 4 bolts though. Also, the Sahara we had was a body color molding and had 18" wheels, so it was kinda goofy. I will say this, you can't brake torque it and spin the tires, even in a turn or whatever you try.
