Re: Rubicon Run 2K6
Yep, we did it with minimal body damage! I think the yupterra was the worst off, but he still made it! :P Pics to come soon. Actually, I'll probably be the last to post pics considering I won't be home for another 12 hours...

Re: Rubicon Run 2K6
I just finished a one hour shower. Can't believe the dust that is all over, in and around my body and truck. Flares took a beating. Popped the center perf grill when I slammed on my winch. Never used it so much in one day.
Looking back, I'm glad it's done, now I don't have to go back. The absolute most technical and difficult wheeling I have ever done with this truck.
It was great meeting all my new friends. Food furnished by Each Morning I Love You. Outstanding. My wife enjoyed the camaraderie. Jeepers were considerate for the most part. I think they were amazed More then anything else. We are driving mostly stock vehicles. My mods are 37" MTR, Fabtech tie rods, rubber duck ucp. I heard one jeeper say that his cost $58,000! He could of had an H2.
Anyway, I am crashing.

Re: Rubicon Run 2K6
I was at Cadillac Hill on Saturday and made contact with the group for a while by CB radio. I did hear that H2 Rocks broke a tie rod. Too bad Adam wasn't there. I got to the top of Cadillac Hill around 11:30 am and hung out until 4:30 pm and could not get the group on the radio at that time. They said they were hoping to make it to Rubicon Springs by 5:30 pm that day. They would have had about 3 hours to make it out from there I would guess to the staging area on the Lake Tahoe side.
When I first made contact with the group Sewie gave me his GPS coordinates and they were only 1.8 miles as the crow flies from where I was at the top of Cadillac Hill.
I was heading back to the Lake by myself when I came upon a tight spot with a sharp right hand turn with a large boulder in the center of the turn. I got stuck on my drivers side undercarriage and thought I was screwed. This was about 5:30 pm and I had no winch with me. I stacked rocks and messed around for about an hour and then a jeep came by and strapped me off of it. This was the most built jeep I had ever seen and it was clean. I was so filthy from digging and stacking that I didn't get any pictures though.
I went back Sunday morning around 9:30 am almost all the way back to Cadillac Hill but could not get anyone on the radio so I headed out.
What time and what day did you guys make it out? It sounds like you came out on Sunday some time?

Re: Rubicon Run 2K6
Last night around 10:15 ET is when we started getting calls.
I can't see the pics on that web site posted earlier.
Sounds like you all had a great time. Now go take a shower and watch out for the hidden spiders in your trucks.
BTW, nice driveway pic, DRTY.
