Got word today that at least 4 H3's & 1 H2 suffered alternator failures after this Hummer Happening from submersion....but we were never in more than 24" of water (OK, maybe we went faster that 5 mph), and GM won't cover them under warranty.  I had no troubles with it, but I'll have a look to see if I can fab some kind of splash shield under the alternator to prevent it later!
Anybody else had this happen? It's not the kind of thing you'd expect to go bad, but I can easily see how it could happen.
The only trouble I found was both front inside wheelwell covers were broken, one missing a chunk over a foot around....not sure how I caught those on anything. Oh yah, anybody seen my front left wheelcap?
