Shahid Ahmed is full of Sh1t, see his so called test report, the dealer is not even open on a Friday (Middle East weekend Fri, Sat) so where did he get the demo to try. I'm getting severely browned off at the slagging the H3 gets over here in the Emirates as half of these Lancruiser/Jeep/Patrol owners haven't a clue how it works and often resort to "I've heard the H3 cant do this/does not work in the dunes/too small interior/no power.....ect....ect...ect!
Help me out guys and gals and bombard this website with as much pro HUMMER propaganda as possible. Lets stop the rot! Thanks.

well after reading his test, here is my mind...
Actually, he's right, it's not the best position, not the best rear view, not the most powerfull engine (2006), it does overheat a little (just shut the AC and open the window you spoiled kids!), and mainly, if you don't know how to use it, YOU will fail the test... BTW, did he know that you must disengage the Stabilytrack system???

Because those jerks here only know Land cruisers and patrols with a lot's of power.... then what? push the pedal and drive without thinking, anticipation, etc... Even my grandma can do that. When you have a H3, you first look the path, then you think, then you go. I'm conviced an average H3 driver is more experienced that a good patrol driver! Everytime i get stuck, that because i've made a mistake (me, not the car!). And everytime, i've learned something...

To finish, anyway, if i've bought this one, it's because i wanted it, it's because i don't want to have the same truck that everybody... I want to be part of a family, of open minded mates!

So if you meet the guy, just tell him that a true arabic guy can do better than a H3 with a peugeot 404... and ask him to show you if he is a true one! or presumably, just a spoiled kid!

ahhh, feel better!

Xof in H3, Could not have put it better myself, the H3 driver thinks a lot more about his or hers path through the dunes which in the end makes for a better driver off road. These guys are w*ankers and you know what old Shahid is asking GM to have HUMMER sponsor the local newspaper's annual "Great Escape", the Kh*l**j T*im*s fun drive, Aparantly he's the Chief Marshal/organising committee for the event. More balls than a driving range, to slag the H3 off and then ask them for sponsorship for his event, incredible. In a word, Fu*Kwit!

Wink Re: H3 haters....

Oh dear.

Hi folks... a few H3's here in Bahrain, and to be honest they perform well.. I had mine since February, and done a load of offroading in it - no problems at all - got stuck once trying to pull out a Ford explorer - that was more my fault than anything mind you!

Anyway, it's horses for courses - sure, let the air out of the tires on a Land Crusier, Patrol or whatever, hoof it, and it'll go great in sand - in fact, I could do the same in my wife's RAV 4... Ok, here we don't have dunes like they do in UAE or Qatar, but there is still soft sand - I don't even bother letting air out, just switch of the Stabilitrak and off I go... so far I've had to pull out:

Range Rover
Jeep Wrangler
Ford Explorer
Mitsi Pajero

As far as reliability and "lack" of toughness? - bullsh**t!! I deliberately gave mine a real hard time coming up for the 10k service... some have seen the airborne pics etc - after service - no issues whatsoever... as for overheating, I've never had an issue - similar temperatures here to UAE this summer - 48-49 (52 in the desert!) degrees and no issues at all...

As for the locals - well, now more and more are buying H3's... but as we know, there are those GCC nationals who will continue to run the Hummer brand down in favour of Land Cruiser etc (for our USA readers, you never seen so many Land Crusiers in your life as we have in the ME), unless of course they manage to get themselves into an H2, and all of a sudden Hummer is the best thing since sliced bread!!

Now here's the deal - as I said we have mostly a mixture of rock and sand here which (no offence to the guys from UAE) takes a bit more skill and planning, and guess which vehicle outperforms ALL of the others?... (and we get a bit of variety) as can be seen below

H3
Range Rover
Pajero 2006
Pajero 2000
Land Cruiser
Jeep Wrangler
Discovery
Volvo XC90 (surprising how well it does actually)
Ford Explorer
Jeep Cherokee Sport

I'm happy and would not hesitate to recommend the H3 to anyone!!!!

Xof in H3 - gonna be in Qatar this month - unfortunately it'll be 26th-30th!!... catch you next time?

Cheers!
