Re: 35" BFG all terrains?
Huck,
I cannot comment on the specifics to the 35inch tire on the 3... but i can comment on the drivability of the BFG AT. I do a lot of driving (58k on my 05) and the first mod i do to all my trucks is to put on some BFG AT's. They last a long time for an aggressive tire, go great in 99% of off-raod situations, and they dont hum on the highway.
Also, for an off-road tire, they do great in the snow/ice....

BFG ATs are awesome in everything but mud and they last forever. They do tend to throw rocks and gravel tho.

Re: 35" BFG all terrains?
I'm not worried about the guy behind me ... I've always run BFG ATs on my rigs. Just be ready for rock chips on your rear fender flares.

Re: 35" BFG all terrains?
BFG AT's are good everywhere except when it gets wet or muddy, then they seem to lose some grip. But in on-road rain and snow conditions, they're great, and they do well enough in the woods.
From what I've heard, avoid MT's for all around tires because of the lack of siping, which will hurt their snow/rain/ice performance.
Have you thought about running 33's on your rig for daily driving, and then having a set of 35 MT's on rims for when you run trails? The MT's are great off-highway. I know that is somewhat expensive (I've contemplated it) but it might be worth it in the long run (less wear on your road tires, better off-highway performance).

Re: 35" BFG all terrains?
Question for you guys.
I have the stock A/T 285/75/16. I am looking at getting some new tires and the local BigO deal said that I could put tires that were 12.5" wide on my stock rims eventhough the stock tires are 11.5". Will 12.5 fit on the stock rims?
Thanks
